  1. Just imagine, a life that was full of dreams. A life of pure simplicity where everything you ever wanted was there. Everyone has dreams, believe it or not. Some of them may be negative but there are a lot of positive dreams out there. The more positive dreams that we have the more we think positively. My point here is that we should never stop dreaming. If we stop dreaming, we are stopping our imaginations for everything. Our imaginations is what makes us unique. It’s what our personalities are based off of. If we were all the same and our imaginations and dreams were all the same, there would be no change in our world and we would not be diverse. The diversity in our world is what makes us unique. There are times where our diversity benefits us but there are ways where it can also harm us. Just know that our dreams and our imaginations help us throughout our life. Although it may seem very far away, our future depends on the dreams we have. Creating dreams for ourselves will help us in the future. It will broaden our perspective of life and see things in a totally different way. Dreams are a way for us to think creatively and let our imaginations shine within us.
In my own perspective, my dream life is experiencing adventures that I have not done before. Our lives are very short and we should experience everything while we can. There are activities in my life that I have always wanted to do like skydiving or travel somewhere beautiful. My ultimate dream is to travel somewhere with my family and to have a vacation that everyone will enjoy. I necessarily don’t have a “dream life” for myself because I’m living the dream life right now. I have a loving family that helps me when I’m struggling and they are always there to put me back on my feet. I don’t know what I would do without them. I just want to experience something with my family that everyone will enjoy. It’s a time for all of us to enjoy something together! I would try my hardest just to have that one experience with them because I know we will all remember it forever!
Going along with the idea of dreams, everyone has dreams. Whether if they are in middle school or an adult, everyone from every age group has dreams. Dreaming is the one thing that we do that is we can keep to ourselves. We can dream as much as we want and it will affect only us. We should never stop dreaming because that means we will stop our imaginations and creativity. All of our dreams can happen if we want them to happen. We just need the courage and determination to make them real. There are times where I hope that my dreams could potentially be true. I just know that if I put my mind to it, it may actually happen. I still have hope that my dream of traveling the world with my family will actually happen. It would be an experience that I would never forget.
In conclusion, we should all have dreams once in awhile. It may be a small dream but sometimes those small dreams become bigger dreams and it can benefit us in the future. Just keep dreaming no matter what happens. Dreaming is what helps us shine in our creativity. We may never be able to dream like this again so we should take that chance to live a different life. A life full of dreams.

  2. We all have dreams to do and accomplish things in our lifetime. Some of those things may be easy to accomplish, and other things may take some time and effort. I have so many dreams that one blog would not even cover it all! Anyways, my dreams are more aimed towards my adult life, and the nearby future. Some dreams I am going to talk about are my dream careers, family dreams, and educational dreams.
As I make my way into High School, the thought of what I want to study for a career is becoming more vital to my choices. Right now, I am still deciding on what career I would like to pursue, but three options I have are being a Math Professor, Medicinal Chemist, or a Civil Lawyer. Any one of these three jobs would be a dream come true to be apart of. I love math, have a great interest in creating helpful medicines, and I want to help others keep their rights as an American citizen. I know that these jobs take so much work and studying, but it is my dream, and I will do anything to accomplish it all.
Furthermore, another dream I would like to fulfill is to get a scholarship to Rutgers. Scholarships are not given to everyone, and it takes much effort to earn such a great thing. Studying and concentration are two main factors in making my dream come true, and I am willing to do anything for that to happen. School is hard, and there is no way for me to live my dream if I don’t try and just give up whenever I am having a hard time with something.
One other goal I have is to someday get married, and have two children of my own. I would love to have a girl and a boy, but gender really doesn't matter. I want to get married to someone who appreciates me, treats me well, and loves me no matter what I may say or how I may act. I have a dream to live in a beautiful house, and be happy with my husband and children. I hope that this dream will come true because I am so looking forward to it all in the future.
An extra, but small dream that I also have is to go skydiving. Skydiving has always been of interest to me, and I think that it would be an amazing adventure and loads of fun for me. I love thrills, and am up to do anything crazy like that. I dream that I can do this soon, before I get too busy, and don’t do it ever.
Everyone has different dreams, and sometimes those dreams may be harder to achieve. I just hope that some day and in the future I will be able to live in my dreams. I know that everyone has different dreams, and I wish the best for everyone in living their dreams, or being close to living their dreams.

  3. Merriam-Webster defines a dream as
    (1) A series of thoughts, images, or emotions occurring during sleep.
    (2) An experience of waking life having the characteristics of a dream such as
    A visionary
A state of mind marked by abstraction or release from reality
An object seen in a dreamlike state
    (3) Something notable for its beauty, excellence, or enjoyable quality
    (4) A strong desired goal or purpose
    (5) Something that fully satisfies a wish
I, however, will only be working with one of those many definitions. #4. Seeing as I am only just about to finish middle school, and only about fourteen years old, I am still but a child in the ways of understanding the enigmatic workings of the world and its people. I doubt any number of years living on the planet Earth will find me completely understanding the way humans work. Here we are, discovering distant planets and entire galaxies, yet we barely understand our fellow man, sentient beings that have occupied this planet for centuries. Thus, begins my dream. To be able to shed more light upon this species. My dream, my one dream that I will try with all of my will at my disposal, is to go to high school, graduate, receive a scholarship to a university of my choice, and then get at least a Bachelor of Science Degree for Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Now, I understand that scholarships are not just handed out to those who ask “pretty please?” and that they require an enormous amount work. That is why I am trying to make this my dream as of now, so that I have ample time to get into the mindset that will get me that scholarship that will get me into my dream college, wherever that might be. If you cannot tell by now, education is an extremely high priority for me, for knowledge is, I believe, the only weapon that is always at your disposal. That will never rust, nor succumb to the elements. Afterwards, if I accomplish that main goal, I want to live a life of adventure. To leave and never look back, to have no more regrets. I want to travel the world, see famous buildings, experience the cultures of all of the other occupants of the world, wake up in a hotel in some foreign land, completely unaware of what the day will hold for me. I cannot stand just staying in one place for the rest of my life. I will not have it. Even if it means earning every single cent for the next plane ticket out of her all by myself, I will do it. I want to go skydiving, bungee jumping, ziplining, go on a cable cart, walk in a parade with thousands of people, and meet unforgettable people from every continent. Time to put that psychology degree to good use and try to figure out whether it is our overall differences or similarities that matter. Afterwards, I hope that my travels will open my eyes to the world around me, and that I can create something that will make a difference for the better in the world. Whether it be about poverty, starvation, lack of resources, racial issues, religious issues, I know that I will never feel satisfied until I at least attempt to try and make a lasting positive effect on the planet. I want to leave the Earth in a better place than it was when I found it. Overall, I do not want to lead what is known as a “regular” life, but one of mystery and adventure, and one that might make somewhat a difference in the lives of people of Earth, even though everything humans have and will do will one day be but a wisp of the past. Anyway, those are my dreams that I hope to accomplish in my lifetime.

  4. Ever since we were young, in our minds we’ve always dreamt of things. When we were younger, almost every TV show implements the standard principle of dreaming. Mickey Mouse, Barney, The Wiggles, Blue’s Clues, they were all figures who taught us how to dream and showed us what happens when we dream. Although we look back on these childish pleasures regretfully and a wave of nostalgia comes over us, they were the building blocks of teaching us to reach for something. Through their simple lessons and playful mannerisms in the shows, we learned how to dream. That’s where I believe our natural human instinct to dream began.

Personally, I feel that I am a dreamer. With all my heart, I spend a lot of time thinking about what I want to do and who I want to become. Even in my room, I have more than one dream catcher, which symbolizes my love and passion for dreaming. All throughout my life, I’ve continued setting goals and trying to achieve them. But now it is the time when we are all transitioning from childhood to adulthood. Our adolescence is emerging and we are changing as people. The future is becoming even harder to grasp. It’s as if we are standing on a cloud, and as we try to leap to the next cloud, the sun blocks our path, shielding us from knowing what lies ahead. But, we have no choice but to jump, as if we don’t jump, the cloud will leave without us and we will be helpless in the face of this trouble. Life is moving fast. Life is moving fast and honestly, I’m struggling to catch up sometimes.

This is the time when we are figuring out who we are as people and who we would like to become. We find out who is important to us and who is just a passing extra in this movie we call “Life”. It is at this point in our lives, where we must hold on to our dreams, because they will help us shape our future. My dreams have been pretty consistent throughout the years: get all A’s throughout my middle school years, get accepted into the Middlesex County Academy, succeed in MCA, become valedictorian of my class, go to an ivy league college (preferably Princeton) and become a successful actuarian.

My academic dreams are, for the most part, simple. But, outside of my studies there are always things that I want to achieve. Some of my dreams include meeting one of my favorite bands, learning to play a lot of songs on bass guitar, electric/acoustic guitar and key board, holding on to my friends and attend more concerts. In my last year of middle school, I wanted to have an awesome time. So far, it’s been… unforgettable, for sure. This year has been a huge roller coaster and I’m sure that the rest of my life will be full of more interesting experiences. My main goal outside of academics is to make my youth memorable, as I will eventually look back on it.

So, our dreams will help us along the way and will help give us a path to reach our even bigger dreams. Dreams are important because they keep us going. Without dreams, we wouldn’t have something to look forward too. Every day, our dreams keep us going. They fuel our minds and our behaviors and give us something to look out for. They also give us something to work towards. Dreaming is important because it gives you a framework for your life and how you want it to turn out. You may not always end up where you had originally planned on being and your final destination may not always be what you had wanted but, in the end you may end up with something even bigger. “It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey.”

  5. (Continued)

When your dreams are fulfilled, there is an even bigger sense of accomplishment that comes with it. When people work towards their dreams, and they achieve them, they feel even more proud and grateful for what they had before and it can help them become even better in the future. Dreams make people happy when they are accomplished and when they come true. Furthermore, dreams help us visualize things. I dream of a better place with less violence and conflicts. I dream of a world where people are openly accepted and that people are patient and less judgmental. I dream of a future with good friends and a good family.

I always thought that if I had plan, then I would be completely successful. I felt that if you had a plan and you always stuck to that plan, nothing bad would happen. But, I’ve learned that although it is always good to have a structure, a little spontaneity and unpredictability shapes you too. It’s part of life to face different difficulties and obstacles as they will only help us learn and become better people in the future. Not everything will go as planned. You will have to face mistakes and mishaps and misconceptions and misunderstandings. But they make you a person who learns from those instances. But even if you fall, trip, struggle, suffer and get hurt along the way, you should never give up on your dreams, on who you are, on the people you care about and on the things that make you happy. But most of all, I believe that you should never ever give up hope and you should never stop dreaming.

  6. I think that dreams are a very important aspect of living on Earth. For some people, dreams are the goals that people will aspire to achieve no matter what happens to them. They focus on these dreams for their entire life and become great inventors, doctors and happy people overall. But I think that following your dreams takes a unique skill set. You need to work hard and remember your dreams even though times are hard. There will always be people who will want to tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams. As Brandon Webb, a Navy SEAL once said, “The people who tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams are ‘dream catcher’. They will always be in your life. Whatever the reason they have to tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams doesn’t matter- you will have to take what those people say as motivation.”
I really have not thought of what my dream life would be. Ever since I was a little kid, I believed in having short term goals. I thought that thinking about how your life would be in say 10 years from now would be a waste. Instead, I believe that thinking about what you want to achieve in a year of 6 months- because those dreams and goals will set you up to reach your dream for 10 years. But if I had to think about the future, I would say that I would just want a peaceful life. I do not care much about excitement. Sure, I want to work for the Air Force and make new missile and planes for them, but I really just want to “chill.” I would want a wife, perhaps two kids (They are not going to be an only child like me :-) ). I would want to live in the suburbs and find a modest house with good neighbors. I would also want to make sure that I keep myself in shape and run, bike and swim. I think that the greatest gift that I have is that I am talented in athletics in many different ways. I want to participate in triathlons (Especially the Escape from Alcatraz). I want to keep running and swimming and just stay healthy. I also want to travel around the world and visit many different places. Maybe even do a little bit of motivational speaking. Also giving presentations (I love public speaking!). I also want to very athletic kids. (They better run short distance and long distance as fast as me, or else I WILL DISOWN THEM). I want to have an athletic family and at least 1 girl. I think that many boys think that girls do not have the ability to run as fast as boys, but I want to prove them wrong. I want a girl who runs faster than all the boys in her school and is the most athletic person in the school. Healthy and Happy are the two main things in my life. Looking back at what I wrote, I think that my life may not be as peaceful as I originally want it, but I think that all the things I mentioned should keep me satisfied.
For college dreams, I know many people want to go to top-notch school such as Caltech, Princeton, and other Ivy-League Schools, but I value what I learn more than where I learn. Don’t get me wrong- I dream of going to Princeton and MIT, but I want to learn until I die. I promised myself to get a PHD in Aeronautical Engineering, and get a Masters Degree in Business Administration. I want to never stop going to college. Just like my dad does, I would want to do online courses while I am working. Though my dad has multiple degrees, he always tells me that learning is very important- so he keeps going to college. I want to be just like him. Maybe even do a double PHD. (Probably not going to happen).

  7. In high school, I want to have a perfect GPA and be a star athlete. I love running cross country and track. Maybe even swimming. I want to be the fastest cross country runner in the state in high school. Right now, I am the fastest runner in the district, but I know that there are other runners like me out there. I would have to work very hard. In highschool, I want to be that kid who is the smartest and the most athletic of all. I want to be the kid who everybody knows. I have never been much of a popular kid, but know looking back and middle school, I am unpopular popular. I don’t have a lot of friends, but everyone knows me. I want to be “that guy”
I just want to be me. Smart. Athletic. Funny. Has Few but close friends. Sometimes Self-centered. I love my life right now. My personality is good. I am good. I am content. I just want things to go the way they are right now. I dream of me being me.

P.S.- Once we all grow up, we need to have a GNT reunion. I love this class. We need to meet up sometime and make sure we catch up with how all our lives have been!

    1. By the way Raj, that's a great idea on the reunion. I think that would be interesting.

  8. We may be only in 8th grade, and this is the stage of our lives where we really try to grasp our own sense of reality, morals, and future ideals, but I think we all are able to comprehend a basic idea of to "Never let go of our dreams." Honestly, I think most children, at a very young age, understand this concept. It's very hard to actually be a "civilized human being" without having some sort of dream. From a criminal to a high classed business man to a toddler of 3 years old, everyone has some sort of dream, no matter if it’s long term or short term. Now, to be honest, people dreams are made from their own life experiences, their own wants, needs, and desires.
For me, personally lots of goals present them to me everyday. I mean, not all of them are very “life changing” goals, or, what some people would classify them as “interesting.” For example, right now, a big goal is to get this blog entry done since it’s April 30th and I still have a lot of homework to do, so, this is probably goal number 1 right now, on my list of goals that I have to finish. Another would be my science project due tomorrow, which I still also have a lot of work to do!
Anyway, back to the topic of dreams. What are my middle school dreams? Well, since it’s the end of middle school, some of the 3 craziest, strangest, and funniest years of my life, I honestly just want to try finish these last school days strong and have fun until that last of day of middle school and the start of summer. I want to finish strong in all of my clubs, including getting in the top 10 in Cross Country and just being able to say things like “I’ve been on the Cross Country team for 3 years” or “I’ve been in Newspaper club for 3 years” or something like that. Something I can look back on much later in my life. My academic dreams would be to stay at A’s, I guess, and I think those are all my middle school dreams. For me, middle school is almost over, and I really don’t know how to react to that, since it’s been amazing, but I want to move on and create new dreams as well.
My high school dreams have not presented themselves yet. At least, not all of them. As I said before, dreams are created after your life experiences. The only dream I have so far, or at least, the only high school experience I’ve had before, is that the high school counselor said most people could possibly fail a class at the Academy. My only dream right now is to prove her wrong. I don’t know why exactly, but it’s that feeling of really wanting to prove someone wrong, just because they said you are incapable of doing something or saying that something could possibly happen like this. At the moment, that’s the only High School goal I have.
The next to dreams are something that’s very hard from me to explain to someone else. My adult dreams and my dream life are really the hardest for me to talk about is because I really don’t know how to approach it. My dad always said that I should never have a sort of “set in stone” type of job or anything, because the future is always changing for me. I mean, the world always develops and changes, so by the time I grow up, a whole new profession may come up, and i may go into that. So I really don’t have any type of dream for the future, no adult types of dreams or dream life, other than the fact that I’m going to drive (hopefully) and that I will learn as much as I can and do as much as I can until the future and future dreams create themselves for me.
All in all, I never keep dreaming, and although none of them are set in stone or completely good for me, i have dreams that I plan to achieve, and no matter how simple, I will accomplish them and I will never give up on them. My dreams will always be my dreams and I will always stand by them. I don’t think I will ever stop dreaming, no matter how much I may change, and I will always strive my make my dreams come true.

  9. Everyone has dreams. Even some of the most important people in America’s history. Abraham Lincoln dreamt of a world without any slavery. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamt of a world with no prejudice and segregation. Hence his most famous speech “I Have a Dream.” Look and where it got them. I am not talking about them being killed, but they had their dream fulfilled by their actions. Now in America, there is no more slavery and segregation.
When I was in preschool I had a dream of being taller than my mom and being able to see myself in the bathroom mirror. I have obviously achieved those dreams and those were not the most life changing goals I have ever made or have now. Some short term dreams I have are getting a six-pack again, which is not too far away if I actually try. I also want to get straight A’s this whole year. I have never been able to get one because I get one B+ in one of my classes in the last marking period. Another really short term dream is to finish this blog and my science project as they are due tomorrow.
For Middle School dreams there is very few. As it is my last year in middle school and there are only two months left I accomplished some of my dreams like getting into NJHS which I achieved on Friday. Like I said before I want to get straight A’s at least once in middle school. I also want to win a Taekwondo Sparring Championship. I have done it before but I would like to do it again because I am quitting once I get to High School, so that is why I included it in this. I could say the same thing for Piano too.
I don’t know much about high school and I know these are not going to be anywhere near the amount of big dreams I am going to have in high school and for high school. First of all, I want to have a perfect score on the SAT and ACT. I really want to try to get a perfect score for the Math section but I would love to get a perfect score in general. I also want to do good in History AP, I heard it was a hard class from my friend and I would like to do good in a really hard class. On the topic of AP classes, I want to do Computer Science AP, which I heard you can do in High School. I want to do it and pass it so I can get college credits off and my future career options have Computer Science in it, so it would be great for me to learn it early.
In my adult life, I have a couple of dreams. One of them is to help make video games. In any way possible I would love to make a concept became a video game. Whether it being a creative mind behind a game, programming a game, or making the soundtrack for a game, my biggest dream is to work on a game from start to finish. As for my family dreams, I want to have a wife and have three kids or so. Or I will be that super cool, bachelor uncle. A dream I know want to accomplish is traveling to all the continents except for Antarctica. I like the cold but that is way too cold for me.
Above I have listed all of my dreams I want to achieve in the upcoming future. I will never give up on these dreams. The only time I will ever stop is when I have achieved them.

  10. Dreams are something that come and go. The cease and desist often in a lifetime. Very rarely dreams are followed through. Unless you decide to. When I think of my dreams throughout my life they have changed very often. I don’t think I have ever sticked with the same dream job for more than one year. Well that isn’t a problem because I’m young but I just realized that.
Middle School is almost over however I still have a few dreams. Such as getting into Open in Irish Step Dancing. This doesn’t have to do with Middle School, however it is a dream around this time of my life. I really want to make it into the highest level of Irish Step Dancing. I’m need 3 firsts. However, my teacher thinks I can do it, so I believe. I also want to learn a lot more about my flute before I got to High School. Speaking of High School I have a lot of dreams and aspirations for those golden years. I want to take a lot of AP classes first of all. It is extremely hard to get into AP classes at St. Joe’s and I’m already in one! I want to get as prepared for college as possible and I think AP is the best way to go. I also want to be part of the Regional Band. You have to try out for this and I didn’t do that this year. However, I want to do that this year. I think it will be fun to do it and I don’t think I will regret doing that. Also I want to get as involved in my school as I can be. Since that will be a good way to get organized for College. In College, my dream is to be a BioChemist. I want to make drugs that can help people in their lives and maybe even discover an even more efficient way to help people. Such as healthier means than drugs with thousands of side effects. I need to get a degree in BioChemistry. I want to study the effects of Chemisty and the body. What types of Chemicals can affect the body. Then I also want to discover other things that can enhance human life. Such as, how to make people healthier without life risking surgery. Obviously at this point my dream job is to be a BioChemist. I want to work in a hospital and with a research team. In life I do want to have a family. That is a topic that people always get awkward around even me. I want to have 2 kids and a wife and be able to provide for them. I don’t want to be a bad father or not be able to provide things they want. However, I want to make sure I raise them healthier than I raised myself. My parents tried however, I didn’t listen. I won’t make that mistake again. Those are a few of my dreams in life.

  11. Dreams. The word alone sounds exciting and interesting as well as a bit scary to think about. Now I'm not talking about when you have a nightmare or a really good dream while sleeping. What I'm talking about are dreams in life. More like goals. In this blog, I will be sharing with you my dreams for the remainder of middle school, high school, college, my adult life, and my future work life. I'm unsure about a few things on dreams, but I'm completely sure about one thing. As long as I'm happy with where I am and what I'm doing in any and all of these dreams that I will discuss, then I have truly followed and completed my dreams in my opinion. I think that if you are truly happy with who you are and what you do, then you have achieved all of your dreams, no matter what. Getting back on track, dreams are very important and this blog is basically about my dreams for life, but broken up into pieces. So, I'll first start with sharing my middle school dreams. Though we will sadly be graduating middle school in a mere 1 and a half months, we can still dream and achieve goals, right? My dreams as a 6th grader in middle school were to get good grades, be involved, and get into NJHS. I'm very proud to say that I have never received anything lower than a B in my entire middle school career. This is a dream come true on its own, because transitioning from elementary school to middle schools while figuring out schedules, lockers, and everything different, and trying to make friends and make you way through middle school is very difficult. It will probably be the most difficult transition you will make in your life, well, in your school life. To say that I have maintained good grades for 12 marking periods is amazing and I hope to keep it that way for the last and final middle school marking period. I also dreamed of being involved in this school. I also have achieved that. I am in over 8 clubs and sports and love to stay involved in my classes and with friends. I think I've also done pretty well with that. My last and biggest middle school dream would have to be being accepted into the National Junior Honor Society. I'm extremely proud to say that I have very recently achieved my biggest and most important dream of my middle school career on Friday. For the next few days, I will be preparing for one of the best days of my middle school career and my life, which the the NJHS Induction. Though middle school is almost over and the 8th graders will soon be moving onto high school and bigger and better opportunities, I will still focus on my schoolwork and being involved until the school year actually ends. Though this probably won't happen since we are all going to different high schools, but I wish to stay friends with my 3 best friends after our middle school journey concludes. I also want to graduate with honors, which I will now be doing. Now onto my high school dreams. Thinking about it, in less than half a year, we will be in a completely different school and atmosphere and have to restart our whole transitioning journey once more. Some dreams I have already have for high school are to achieve good grades in all four years, make honor roll, get involved in as many clubs and activities as I can make time for, apply and get into National Honor Society, make new friends that won't have a bad influence on me, and have fun. These dreams are basically the same as my middle school dreams, though they take it a step further being that I will be older.

  12. (CONT'D)

One more dream I have for high school is to graduate with honors and get accepted into as many colleges as I can. I also want to get accepted into my top colleges, what ever those may be since I haven't made a solid decision yet. My college dreams are to succeed. It is as simple as that. Maybe I'll do a sport or explore the clubs around campus. I want to go to the same college as my sister so we can dorm together because that has always been a dream of ours as well. I want to graduate, be recognized, make more friends, stay involved with my family, and receive a degree for something I know I will enjoy for the rest of my life. I will then go to medical school or pursue a career in architecture. I'm not completely sure yet and I'm also going to change my mind a thousand times before I actually decide on something being that I'm such an indecisive person. I might also want to fix that. For my work dreams, I hope to make a lot of money while enjoying what I'm doing. I really just want to be happy with what I'm doing because I want to stick with one job my whole life. I want to get married and have kids too. Hopefully 2 girls and 2 boys or 1 girl and 2 boys, I'm actually not sure how many or what gender I'd wish for. I want a great husband who loves and appreciates me for who I am and is smart and great with family. I want a beautiful house and to be able to provide for my children, myself, my husband, and my friends and family. I wish for a long healthy life and to be happy. In the end, all I want is to be happy with who I'm with and what I'm doing. If I achieve that, all my dreams are automatically achieved.
